The emblematic breed of El Encanto is the Costarricense de Paso, known as the Costa Rican Walking Horse, which traces its pedigreed lineage back to Carthage and the Royal Court of Spain and represents the pinnacle of Costa Rica’s rich equestrian heritage. Our corner of the Costa Rican Rainforest lies within the North Atlantic Biological Corridor where north and south migratory patterns meet. El Lugar is home to at least 130 species and numbers are growing thanks, in part, to our reforestation efforts.
